The University Counseling Program is a comprehensive program that begins in the 9th grade. Regularly during their CORE block, students are introduced to a variety of careers and university types that cater to those careers. Beginning in the 10th grade, students will meet individually with the Director of University Counseling in order to explore a pathway and pick courses for their 11th and 12th grade years that correspond with that pathway. Students will continue to meet individually on a regular basis with that counselor until their application journey is complete in the 12th grade, and all the while they will continue to have university counseling as part of their CORE curriculum. By the time it comes to apply to university in the 12th grade, students will have a firm knowledge of the opportunities available to them and the steps needed to take to achieve their goals.
