MRISA Arts Exchange 2026
MRISA AX26 concluded last week after two inspiring days of creative exchange, collaboration, and connection. Students from MRISA schools across Southeast Asia came together to learn from one another through hands-on workshops, shared rehearsals, and collaborative creative processes. Throughout the event, participants stepped outside their comfort zones, exchanged ideas and perspectives, and built new friendships across schools. Hanoi International School was proud to host the exchange, with over 45 HIS students involved as participants and dedicated volunteers.
This year’s exchange was centered around the theme Behind the Lens, inspired by two films: the Vietnamese-produced Song Lang and the regional collaborative film Mekong 2030. Students took part in workshops led by local and international professionals across Visual Arts, Drama, Music, and Dance. On the first evening, students also designed and led their own workshops before enjoying a lively social night featuring photo booths, arts and crafts activities, and a talent show. The exchange concluded with a final showcase that demonstrated students’ learning and celebrated the power of collaboration and creativity.
A sincere thank you to the HIS Maintenance and Facilities teams, Arts & Design Department, Catering team, Leadership, IT team, and, of course, our supportive parents for making MRISA AX26 possible. Their behind-the-scenes efforts were essential to the success of the event.

MRISA Senior Basketball 2026

MRISA Junior Basketball 2024
Our HIS Junior Basketball teams are heading to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this afternoon, Wednesday 6th November to take part in the Mekong River International School Association (MRISA) Junior Basketball Tournament
We would like to take this opportunity to wish our teams the BEST OF LUCK for this upcoming tournament!

MRISA Senior Volleyball 2024 and MRISA Junior Basketball 2024
The HIS Senior Volleyball teams are heading to Laos today (30th October 2024) to compete in the much anticipated Mekong River International School Association (MRISA) Senior Volleyball Tournament for boys and girls from October 31st - November 2nd 2024!
HIS is a founding member of MRISA and our students have participated in tournaments throughout Southeast Asia over many years.
This year there are eight schools participating the MRISA sports tournaments and art exchanges:

- Saigon South International School (Vietnam)
- International School of Phnom Penh (Cambodia)
- Vientiane International School (Laos)
- IGB International School (Malaysia)
- PREM International School (Thailand)
- KIS International School (Thailand)

MRISA Junior Football 2023
Hanoi International School was very proud to be host the Mekong River International School Association (MRISA) Junior Football Tournament for boys and girls from February 16 - 18 2023.
HIS is a founding member of MRISA and our students have participated in tournaments throughout Southeast Asia over many years. We welcomed teams from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam to Hanoi to compete in our tournament.
